Gilad Atzmon: political writings, Israel and Zion

Many more papers on site. Read them while listening to his beautiful music.
clipped from www.gilad.co.uk

Following the growing outrage of some Zionists as well as crypto Zionists at my critical writings, I find it important to mention that in none of my political texts or interviews have I ever used any kind of racially orientated arguments. My criticism of Zionism and Jewish identity is merely ideological and philosophical.

For me racism is categorically wrong and it is that very realisation that made me into a devoted opponent of Israel and of Zionism.

Anyhow, in case you in find an idea or a thought in my writings that may contain a trace of racism please contact me immediately. I will then either clarify my position or amend my text.

Gilad Alzmon: Israel and Zionism

clipped from www.gilad.co.uk

‘A biting satire on Jewish identity, Zionist politics and sex.’ The Observer

‘A fusion of anti-Israeli conspiracy theory and adolescent sexual farce – Mordechai Vanunu meets ‘American Pie’ – which involves crynogenically maintained war criminals, Mossad agents, and a trumpeter who can bring women to orgasm just by playing a single note.’ Time Out

‘A blackly comic satire about a Jewish jazz trumpeter caught up in the world of Israeli espionage.’ The Bookseller

'It is a cue to a remarkable romp that scarcely draws a breath from beginning to .....It’s so good it will probably be banned in Israel'. Jazzwise

‘Catch 22 meets Only Fools and Horses ... ‘dark humour’ isn't nearly strong enough to describe the distorted world that Atzmon portrays and mercilessly satirises.’ Jazz Review

U.S. Bombed Syria, Not Israel, says Jerusalem Post

Is this propaganda from an Israeli paper or true? If true then...

We should DEMAND an explanation then to know why the President (sic) Bush did not get on TV and tell the American people that "today, U.S. pilots bombed a Syrian facility which we believed was being constructed for nuclear enrichment projects". At least Reagan did this when we bombed Libya and Kadafi. But this was done IN STEALTH....WE HAD TO READ ABOUT IT IN A FOREIGN NEWSPAPER, which shows the media's absolute complicity in this censorship!

He did not even inform Congress, if this is true! An act of war on another country, Syria, is precisely what the secretive neocons (including Cheney) have been wanting. There is no proof to their allegation, which both Syria and North Korea disavowed (claim was N Korea had sent nuke equipment to Syria for constructing facility). THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS, which is why the story broke on Friday (news dump day)!

'USAF struck Syrian nuclear site'

The September 6 raid over Syria was carried out by the US Air Force, the Al-Jazeera Web site reported Friday. The Web site quoted Israeli and Arab sources as saying that two US jets armed with tactical nuclear weapons carried out an attack on a suspected nuclear site under construction.

The sources were quoted as saying that Israeli F-15 and F-16 jets provided cover for the US planes.
The sources added that each US plane carried one tactical nuclear weapon and that the site was hit by one bomb and was totally destroyed.
At the beginning of October, Israel's military censor began to allow the local media to report on the raid without attributing their report to foreign sources. Nevertheless, details of the strike have remained clouded in mystery.
The New York Times reported on October 13 that Israeli planes struck at what US and Israeli intelligence believed was a partly constructed nuclear reactor in Syria on September 6,
